FanDuel sportsbook operator and The Ringer, a sports and pop culture website, have made an official announcement today about their year-long partnership that will last until February 2022.
Based on the terms of the agreement, FanDuel will be The Ringer’s sports betting partner. The Ringer has advertised on its site that the new sponsorship will be a major investment in the company.
Vice President of Media & Demand Generation, FanDuel Group, David Webb, indicated that The Ringer forms an integral aspect of the company’s core strategy to engage, reach, and build a solid connection with fans across the US through persuasive content creators.
Webb noted that The Ringer network, in partnership with FanDuel, will bring in talented people who will add a unique outlook to sports and sports betting. The vice president firmly believes that the partnership will bring greater value to their customers and fans.
He also added that as the industry leaders, The Ringer and FanDuel would work together to meet FanDuel’s promise to focus more on its fans through the network’s endemic and localized way of storytelling.
The partnership will see FanDuel become the exclusive Sportsbook and Fantasy Sports partner in all Ringer’s assets. This will include its newsletters, social, podcasts, video, and website. In addition to the new deal, there will also be special listener contests and leagues in which Joe House, Bill Simmons, and other hosts from The Ringer will partake.
Furthermore, Spotify’s Head of Global Podcast Sales, Angie More, added that the company is happy to deepen its partnership with FanDuel on a unique engagement through Ringer’s network. She stated that they were ready to develop and execute more lucrative and creative ideas that will ensure both brands are elevated in the eyes of their fans.
